Maturin

Central America is the central geographic region of the Americas. It is variably defined either as being a region of the Americas in its own right or as the southern portion of North America. Physiographically, Central America is a tropical isthmus that connects North and South America. It includes 7 countries and many small offshore islands. Overall, the land is fertile and rugged, and dominated through its heart by a string of volcanic mountain ranges with a few active volcanos.

Maturin is the capital of the Venezuelan state of Monagas. It is situated 520 kilometres from the country's capital, Caracas. The city was founded on 7 December 1760 by Fray Lucas de Zaragoza. It is one of the most important cities in the east of the country as its strategic position serves as a bridge to the other states of the region. The city has a population of over 400,000 people, has some tourist attractions and it is possible to travel there by land or by using Jose Tadeo Monagas International Airport. The city has grown during the last few years mainly because of the increase of the oil industry in the state.

Venezuela is a country on the northern coast of South America. Comprising a continental mainland and numerous islands in the Caribbean Sea, Venezuela borders Guyana to the east, Brazil to the south, and Colombia to the west. Trinidad and Tobago, Curacao, Bonaire, Aruba, and the Leeward Antilles lie just north of the Venezuelan coast.

It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
