Aracaju

Central America is the central geographic region of the Americas. It is variably defined either as being a region of the Americas in its own right or as the southern portion of North America. Physiographically, Central America is a tropical isthmus that connects North and South America. It includes 7 countries and many small offshore islands. Overall, the land is fertile and rugged, and dominated through its heart by a string of volcanic mountain ranges with a few active volcanos.

Aracaju is the capital city of the Sergipe State in Brazil. It is located in the northeastern part of the country, about 350 kilometers north of Salvador. It has a population around 470,000 inhabitants with an area of 182 square kilometers. Although the Portuguese founded a colony there in 1592, the capital of the infant state of Sergipe was moved to nearby Sao Cristovao. Aracaju is known throughout the country for its modern appearances, some festivals and carnival and is known to have some good beaches, among other attractions. Though most tourists rush to Rio to visit its celebrated beaches, a local secret and national treasure is the Northeast and among the many jewels lies Aracaju.

Central America is a popular travel destination for visitors and globe trotters from all over the world who appreciate its beautiful landscapes, rich culture, various local cuisine, hospitality and safety.
