Bayamo




Central America is the central geographic region of the Americas. It is variably defined either as being a region of the Americas in its own right or as the southern portion of North America. Physiographically, Central America is a tropical isthmus that connects North and South America. It includes 7 countries and many small offshore islands. Overall, the land is fertile and rugged, and dominated through its heart by a string of volcanic mountain ranges with a few active volcanos.
 
Bayamo is the capital city of the Granma Province of Cuba, and one of the largest cities in the Oriente region. The community of Bayamo was founded on the 5th of November, 1513 on the banks of the Bayamo river. In 1827 it acquires the city status. The city is affected by the violent Bayamo wind. Other communities in the municipality are Arroyo Blanco, Barrancas, Bueycito, Cauto, Cayamas, Cristo, Datil, Guamo, Guisa, Hornos, Julia, Laguna Blanca, La Sal, San Juan and Veguita. Granma is one of the provinces of Cuba. Its capital is Bayamo. Other towns include Manzanillo and Pilon.

Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and gain enthusiasm in its natural beauty and populace. Bayamo enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers.
