Central America is the central geographic region of the Americas. It is variably defined either as being a region of the Americas in its own right or as the southern portion of North America. Rocha is the capital of the department of Rocha in Uruguay. In 2004, the population of the city was 25,538. Uruguay, officially the Eastern Republic of Uruguay is a nation located in southern part of South America. It is bordered by Brazil to the north, the Uruguay River to the west, with Argentina on the other bank of both and finally the South Atlantic Ocean to the southeast.
