The Ecological Farm Wildlife Refuge: A Natural Paradise


If you feel attracted toward natural surroundings, come to Costa Rica in Central America and visit The Ecological Farm Wildlife Refuge in Monteverde. This tourist attraction is rich in diversity of flora and fauna due to the effort of the whole community of Monteverde that has focused on creating a model for sustainable protection of the environment and development.

Some of the activities you may do and see there include horseback riding, hiking, and bird-watching. This wildlife refuge was a farm of coffee and banana plantations; nevertheless, these days, the main activity of the farm is Ecotourism. In particular, the town of Santa Elena provides coffee and local restaurants for visitors. It is recommended to stay at least two nights to explore completely the Monteverde Reserve since it is open daytime.
